Think restoring our Constitutional government is hopeless?

Have you lost hope that our rights and freedom can be restored?

I’m not convinced it is hopeless yet.  While a percentage of the population will always be a lost cause, many people have just determined it doesn’t matter anymore and do not have the understanding or knowledge to make change possible.

I have found that many can be “Converted” by simply explaining the truth of the matter without all the political propaganda clouding it.  But first we have to be prepared ourselves.  That is why I have put together…

Your 12 steps to help restore a Constitutional Government!

Step 1:  Read and understand the Constitution

Step 2: Stop thinking it doesn’t matter

Because it absolutely does matter.  We can make a difference if we know we can.  This is the exact mentality our would be rulers want us to have.  They want us indifferent and to believe that there is no hope of change from the status quo.   We don’t have to be the majority but with enough of us together, we can cause positive change.  After all, that is how we broke our chains with England.  Why can’t we break our chains to the Government.

Step 3: Quit being a political sports fan

And then there are those people…You know the ones who think everything their party does is right and the other party is always wrong.  Even after they supported their party doing the exact same thing. This isn’t the Steelers Ravens rivalry we are fighting over, these are our rights, future, and children’s future we are destroying.  As Mike Tomlin likes to say, “Don’t be that guy.”…  In other words don’t be the idiot that destroys all of our futures.  Wrong is wrong and this current party system is a big part of why we can’t fix the problems.

Step 4: Understand that neither party is your friend

If you think either political party is the good guy then you’re either naive or stupid.  Both parties want the same thing, power and control of the population.  They know most of us are dumb enough to give it to them.  Sure there are some in office fighting the good fight and we should be thankful and support them.  We need these people in office.  But if you think their party is on your side, think again.  Most of these representatives are often at odds with their own party.  Remember, both parties want us divided.  It helps to secure their power.

There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. Step 5: Stop believing everything the news tells you

I should also add to pay attention to what they don’t tell you too.  The news media has been just another cog of the political brain washing machine for decades now. Between what they do and don’t cover, how they present it, who they choose to interview for opposing sides, etc… They have been slowly manipulating us for years, especially at the national levels.  And for all you FOX News fans who think they are honest and don’t do this, you need to watch how they manipulated the primaries and blatantly ignored Ron Paul. (ie just pay attention to several of the Fox news cuts…)

 

Step 6: Stay informed

This is the logical follow along from step 5.  While the first 5 steps are more about opening our eyes and waking up from the spiked kool-aid hangover, this one requires more effort.  We need to keep up with what is going on in our country and what our elected officials are doing.  We need to verify information that is presented to us and form our own conclusions, not have them fed to us by the parties and news media.  Go out and look into what you are being told and learn the truth from various sources and put together the real picture.  Stop letting them tell you what to think.

Step 7: Learn what the true role of government is supposed to be

The sole role of government is to secure and protect our rights and property.  From the words of our founders…

It is to secure our rights that we resort to government at all.” ~ Thomas Jefferson to Francois D’Ivernois, 1795

To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed… Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.” ~ Thomas Jefferson from the Declaration of Independence, 1776

I could go on with quotes but I am sure you get the point.  They all risked everything because they believed in freedom and liberty above all.  As such the governments purpose should be to protect that.  That no man or government should take that away.

Step 8: Stop accepting that you’re a victim

Don’t be that guy.  Stop blaming the world for all your problems.  Take responsibility and be accountable for your choices.  Do not expect the government and tax payers to be accountable for them.  Again this is another mental change that needs to happen.  We have been taught for decades that we are victims and that only the government can save us.  This is one of the greatest lies.  You are capable of achieving what you want if your willing to take the chance and put the effort into it.  Don’t complain and expect somebody else to provide for you because you majored in philosophy and can’t find a job that pays you $100k per year.  That was your bad choice.  Accept it, take ownership of it, move on, and take control of your life.

Step 9: Pay attention to who you are voting for

We need to take some effort to learn about who we are electing.  Go look into what these people really stand for.  Don’t let the politician and media tell you what to think.  Go check out their speeches, voting history, any writing, etc… Politicians have a long history of twisting things to manipulate us, don’t be one of the ones that gets fooled.

Step 10: Know the history of how we got to where we are

Many people barely know the Constitution even exists, let alone what the government is allowed to do or how it works.  Even worse very few really understand the why of it.  Understanding some history is key to understanding our government and why it works (or is supposed to work) the way it does.  It is also helpful to see when we are ready to walk off a cliff, why we have the Bill of Rights, why our economy hasn’t recovered properly, etc…

Learning and understanding history, how it caused different events, and influenced are government are critical to making smart choices and preventing bad ones.  A general knowledge of history can go a long was to helping make the right decisions.

Step 11:  Educate others

Now that we may have a good understanding, we are just one person.  To really begin causing change, we need to start freeing others from the influence of the government and media.  We need to go out and spread the message.  I’m not talking about running out and preaching in the streets.  What I mean is we all have those discussion opportunities with friends, family,  coworkers, or even somebody we are just sitting next to on the bus or sharing a hibachi table with.  There will be opportunities to talk and share information that will begin to open peoples eyes.  Just share your knowledge.

Step 12: Consider running for office yourself or at least supporting the good guy who is

This is definitely not for everyone but enough of us will have to do it.  We have to get up and fight for our rights and to restore our government.  The best way to do this is getting the right people into office and changing the system, or more accurately, working restoring it. We need to get up and run and, if we cannot run, go out and support those with the courage to do it.  This is the time where great men or women can be made.  What we can’t do is continue to remain quiet.  The larger the crowd, the louder the voice!

That is my list for Your 12 steps to help restore a Constitutional Government!  Basically in the end it is simply about good citizenship.  Something that has for a large part disappeared from our society.  As good citizens, We The People can continue to influence the changes needed to try and restore our rights, liberties, and return to a strongly founded Constitutional government.
