Good Morning and Happy Constitution Day!

It was this day in 1787 that one of the greatest documents and creations of mankind was signed, the United States Constitution. 227 years later, look at the mess we made of it.  But that is a whole other story or maybe a book someday.  Let’s see what Constitution news we can find…

Putting the Constitution in their pockets on Constitution Day…

Next too July 4th, this may be the most important day in our history.  Understanding what it says in the Constitution, and just as importantly why it says it, are critical to making smart policy and election decisions.  Having the Constitution is a good first step.  I keep one on my kindle and refer to it online regularly.  Still only having one day a year of teaching our youth?

Should LA Officials take Constitution classes…

I think more than LA Officials need this.  As we learned in the elections that most of the candidates for President didn’t have a clue(Mitt Romney) except for Ron Paul. The Supreme Court showed it was not entirely concerned either when it ruled the ObamaCare mandate Constitutional (see “Is the Affordable Care Act mandate tax constitutional?“).  Soo I can only image how bad congress is.  It is up to us to make sure we elect the most Constitutionally founded representatives and to educate others on the Constitution.

Ben Carson Pleads for Constitutional literacy…

I thin Ben is right on the mark.  I have been wondering when striving for a Constitutional government became viewed as being extreme. (see “When did Constitutional integrity become “Extreme”!“)  This has been a long and slow twisting of the public’s mind by the politicians and media.  All the more reason we need to educate and inform other with facts and reason on the Constitution.

Thanks for reading.  Please share you thoughts below and Happy Constitution Day!
